Hi walkers.
Join Tony at 9am in the Jamison Drive reserve for an exciting walk from Jamison Drive to Blue Gum and Wombat gullies in the Baranduda Parklands south and north of Ridge Lane. These gullies were re-engineered by the forces of nature following a massive rain event over a couple of hours on May 2 2019. What were once impenetrable blackberry watercourses are now relatively clear and scoured back to bedrock.
The walk will be a mix of some track and a lot of offtrack walking - there will be opportunities to bale out of the gullies if you are finding it tough going as we are within cooee of Ridge Lane on the way up the mountain and walking on track down the mountain is an option as well. Of course we wouldnt leave you on your own to do this!
But if you loved rock hopping as a child here is your chance to relive the joy! .
GRADE 4
Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited.
Here is the Grade 4 walk route - 470m of elevation gain and loss over 7.5km
The elevation profile is a bit daunting but we wont be rushing!
Blue Gum gully
Its not all hard yards!
