This walk begins on the Murray River at the the Hovell Tree in Hovell Tree Park, Albury. It then takes us through South and East Albury, then up to the top of Eastern Hill for some pretty good views and a drinks break. Then we head down to Mungabareena Reserve and then take the track out to the Riverina Hwy (Hume Dam Rd).
dogs OK; but remember this is a car pooling event so please respect the cars of fellow walkers.
Meet at the Hovell Tree in Hovell Tree Park near the Albury pool.
Car shuffling best managed by moving required cars out to the cnr of Mungabareena Road and the Riverina Hwy via Doctors Point Rd to avoid early morning traffic congestion. Returning to Hovell Tree Park after the walk is best via Borella Rd.
We will complete the next 3 parts of the Hume and Hovell over the next 3 weeks, weather depending.
Bring hat, water and a morning tea snack.
Toilets at Hovell Tree Park, Browns Lagoon, Eastern Hill carpark, Mungabareena Reserve and Harvey Norman complex.
coffee and cake afterwards.
Any late cancellations please call me on 0456 100 183.
