A good Albury walk that will take in parts of Hovell Tree Park, Padman/Mates Park, Monument Hill, Nail Can Hill (Farrar Trail, Tree Frog Trail, Tim's Trail), Boynton Park, Patricia Gould Trail, Kremur St track and a hidden track above the Murray River.
The walk is mostly flat but has 2 short ascents from the river to the Monument and similar descents. Height gain/loss of about 100m. You will see the damage done by a recent grass fire on Monument Hill and the good work achieved by the fire fighters.
Meet at Hovell Tree Park located near the Albury swimming pool carpark at 8.30am. The walk will start and finish there.
Bring a morning tea snack. Coffee and cake afterwards for those interested.
Dogs OK. Toilets available at Monument Hill, West Albury oval, Kremur St boatramp and Hovell Tree Park.
Any late cancellations please call me on 0456 100 183.
