NOTE FOR FUTURE EVENT: A nice 2km addition to walking up the road, if the Stringybark Track is closed; is the Mistletoe Walk which leaves the road before the bitumen.
NOTE: Check if Huon Hill is closed for spraying if walking late winter or early spring
NOTE: This walk was scheduled for last week as Huon Hill was closed for maintenence . The walk was shifted to the nearby rail trail and the Kiewa River.
Meet at the Kiewa River picnic area, Killara at 8.30am. We will start the walk directly from here.
We will be following the Stringybark Track up and back from the Kiewa River (including the short summit track), in total, 9 km return.
Toilets are available at the top of Huon Hill.
dogs OK but there will be kangaroos and maybe snakes around.
Bring water and a morning tea snack. Coffee and cake afterwards for those interested.

GRADE 2
No bushwalking experience required. The track has a hardened or compacted surface that may have a gentle hill section or sections and occasional steps.
GRADE 3
Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.
