The Kangaroo Hoppet is a celebration of cross country skiing - most visitors to our shores cant get their head around the fact that we have great snowfields. There are 3 events varying in distance from 7km, 21km and 42km. But its worth coming up even if you dont want to ski in an event as its day full of colour and excitement and you can always try snowshoeing!
Have you been wanting to try snow shoe or cross country skiing ? Well if you can bushwalk carrying a day pack then chances are you will find a snow shoe or ski on gentle terrain a fun and enjoyable experience.
The club has a couple of sets of snowshoes which were given an extensive workout last season. We have also been funded again by VicTalent to help subsidise travel and entry fee expenses. Participants are still expected to share the costs of resort entry and pooled transport expenses on the day. If further equipment is required on the day we will hire at Windy Corner and share the costs.
We will meet at my place in Baranduda at 7-00am and pool transport from there. Should be back at Baranduda by 6pm.
