Intermediate Abseiling - The Rock Nature Reserve

There is a 20 minute medium hike from the car park to the base of the abseiling site. Make sure you sign the visitors book on the way past. Then there is a 5 minute scramble up and a short walk to the starting point of this 30 metre abseil. Take in the magnificent views of the surrounding farmland and maybe catch a glimpse of Wagga Wagga in the distance. Can you see any falcons flying past? Enjoy the descent and come back up for another go. Have lunch at the top looking at the magnificent view.

Departing from the Visitors Info Centre on the Lincoln Causeway between Albury and Wodonga at 8.30am. We will return to the departure point at the end of the day at approximately 5pm. A ride can be organised if needed. The vehicle expenses need to be divided between the travelers.

Abseiling cost: $65.00 for club members and $95.00 for non club members.

Cash payment required on the day.

Included:

1. Revision and Supervision of Abseiling Techniques and Safety Instruction.
2. All Abseil equipment. Bring your own gloves for health reasons.

Abseilers need to bring:

1. A hat, sunsmart clothing and sunscreen.
2. Drinking water. (minimum 2 liters, 3 liters recommended on hot days)
3. Lunch and snacks.
4. Hiking Boots.
5. Gloves. eg leather gardening gloves.
6. Head torch.
7. A day pack to carry items from the car park to the abseiling site.

Warning!!!!!!

Abseiling for beginners is highly recommended if you havn't abseiled before you participate in Intermediate and Advanced Abseiling, Caving and Canyoning trips run by the club.

Illicit drugs or alcohol are not to be consumed while you are participating in MVB Abseiler activities and you cannot participate in MVB Abseiler activities if you are affected by illicit drugs or alcohol consumed prior to the commencement of the activity.
