Meeting at the Wonga Wetlands carpark we take the Albury walking trail to Waterview Road. A short way down this road to check out the Dead River and the new boat ramp and future trail. The Dead River is an old course of the Murray River that was cut off in the 1920's to form a billabong and an interstate island.
From here we head along the bike trail towards Albury as far as the Horseshoe Lagoon which we will walk around and then back to Wonga Wetlands.
If there is wet weather prior to the walk, an alternative walk will be provided.
Due to COVID-19 health requirements, members must provide their own sanitisers, gloves, wipes, masks, etc. If car pooling is required please contact the event co-ordinator.
Due to NSW/Vic border closures this walk is only open to members and guests who reside in New South Wales.
Bring hat, water and a morning tea snack. NO DOGS allowed in Wonga Wetlands.
Any late cancellations please call me on 0456 100 183
