Morning Walk. Huon Hill over the top, 10 km grade 3

 We meet at the end of Summit Drive, Bandiana at 7.30 am. Walkers and Dogs will have to wait there while we take the Cars to the start of the Kiewa River Track at Killara.

We hike up the But But Track to the top of Huon Hill, The Bundy Track  takes us down on the other side to the river. Then it's back to the Cars along the Kiewa RiverTrack.

To get to the Timberline Trail, Drive passed the Blazing Stump Hotel on the Murray Valley Hwy. turn left in to Goshawk Way at the Roundabout and drive all the way to the top.

Bring Snacks and Water. We will have 2 stops for snacking,one on the top and the other by the river, so bring plenty.!!!!

Bring Mask and Sanitize .We need to wear a Mask for the Car Shuffle. NSW Members remember the Permit

Event Gradings

GRADE 3

Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps. 

What to bring for Day Walking

• Current Medical Information Form FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE
• Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
• Sunscreen
• Gloves and hat
• Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
• Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
• Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
• Walking poles
• Gaiters
• Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
• Torch or headlamp for contingencies
