Annual General Meeting 2016 Nomination Form

As our financial membership exceeded 100 as at January 1 2016 the club rules required a committee of 7 to consist of 4 executive positions and three general committee persons be elected for the next 12 months after the AGM.

Use this form to nominate and/or second the nomination of a financial member to serve on the committee.

1. Forgot to mention: our Club Rules require all nomination to be in 1 (ONE) week prior to the AGM  ( This Saturday Aug 8th )

 

2. There is a short movie to follow formalities: The Art of Walking - The Great Ocean Walk - a one-way long-distance walk extending east to west, just over 100km, between Apollo Bay and the iconic Twelve Apostles on Victorias west coast.

 

3. Also note our Club Rules stipulate that we need 20% of financial members in attendance to have a quorum

5. August 14th  Friday 6-30pm at Thurgoona Community Centre, click here to register your attendance for catering purposes

 

At the AGM in August all positions (both on and off committee) will be ratified

Its a tough gig being an MVB Committee member - 4 times a year they get locked away for hours dreaming up changes to the club rules

Notice of Motions To Be Put To Change Section 9 and 13 of the Constitution at the MVB AGM August 18 2017

SECTION 9 OF THE CONSTITUTION COMMITTEE MEETINGS - ADD ITEM U AS FOLLOWS

9 (u) Use of technology at committee meetings

(1) A committee meeting may be held at 2 or more venues using any technology approved by the committee that gives each of the committee’s members a reasonable opportunity to participate.

(2) A committee member who participates in a committee meeting using that technology is taken to be present at the meeting and, if the member votes at the meeting, is taken to have voted in person.

SECTION 13 OF THE CONSTITUTION VOTING AT GENERAL MEETINGS - ADD ITEM E AND ITEM F AS FOLLOWS

13 (e) Postal or electronic ballots

(1) The association may hold a postal or electronic ballot (as the committee determines) to determine any issue or proposal (other than an appeal under clause 12).

(2) A postal or electronic ballot is to be conducted in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Regulation.

13 (f) Use of technology at general meetings
