Event Report:

We commenced walking at Kurrajongs at 10am and returned at 5pm.

Most of the walkers

This is a very demanding walk with a total distance of about 14km and 900 metres of elevation gain. We were lucky with the weather as only very light rainfalls despite very threatening black clouds to the west. Nevertheless the track and rocks were quite slippery and a few people had tumbles. We approached cliffs and the gorge with extreme caution - this walk is definitely best done in dry conditions. The track is overgrown in places and a fair bit of dodging and weaving was required. The rewards were great however with wonderful scenery, vegetation and a spectacular gorge - would like to return in drier conditions to explore the gorge safely.
