Barbara and Laurie offered to camp at there place on Friday night.floor space and byo sleeping bag. Barbara is making a pot of Soup, the rest of the meals need to be byo. Warning do not bring any cake.......

It's a 2 hour drive to Thredbo from Cudgewa, parking fee applies

We take the chair lift up and down. Weather permitting, we walk along the steel platform for about 2 km ,then its all of track to the Hut. Aparently there are 5 snow poles leading to the Hut

Cootapatamba Hut] - a former SMA survey hut built in the 1950's. Located just south of Mt Kosciuszko. Very compact

If the forecast is bad we do not go .

Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited.
