Harringtons Track In Sprinng



 Location Bunroy Valley, approximately 40 min. from Corryong.6- 20km return, Grade 3 walk up and down     along the Murray River to Surveyors creek and back. 

This Walk is in and out the same way, so it's up to the individual how far to walk. Bring a Book and relax along the river to wait for the others, go fishing, whatever takes you fancy on the Day.

We do need Cars with a bit of ground clearance  to travel the last 3 km to the start of this walk.

Meeting at Indi Bridge Reserve 8.30 AM. The Indi Bridge Camp is on  Upper Murray Rd on the left side of the Rd. at the turn off to Sheathers Tk.

Car Camp on Friday and Saturday night, departing Wodonga at around 2.30 PM. Let me know of your plan.

Khancoben Loop Grade 3 walk on Sunday 7.7km

BYO  Sanitize, Toilet paper, Chair and Table,Tent, Gourmet Food....Drinking Water, the River is brown from the Rain.Wood for the camp Fire.

NSW resident remember to get a permit for the return trip over the Border and Mask!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At Surveyers Creeck stands the Tree where Jack Riley died in 1914 on the 15th of July.

Jack Riley was the Man from Snowy River who provided an inspirational journey and material for Banjo to write his now famous poem. Banjo acknowledged it was a work of fiction that draws on some other mountain cattlemen he met, but that the main story was based on Jack Riley.

Harrington track walk
Some short up and downs along the Murray River. We will visit the tree where Jack Riley died on the 15th of July 1914(the man from snowy river) 

Event Grade 3

Suitable for most ages and fitness levels. Some bushwalking experience recommended. Track may have short steep hill sections, a rough surface and many steps.

What To Bring For Day Walking
  • Current Medical Information Form FOUND ON THE WEBSITE HERE
  • Water - up to 2 litres recommended for a full day walk
  • Sunscreen
  • Gloves and hat
  • Sufficient food bearing in mind the distance and duration of the event 
  • Suitable clothing and footwear - note denim pants are uncomfortable
  • Wet weather waterproofs, jacket and pants
  • Walking poles
  • Gaiters
  • Basic first aid kit including your specific medication eg asthma applicator
  • Torch or headlamp for contingencies
