Meeting 8 am Corryong, location tba.

We get dropped off at round Mt on day 1. and picked up 5 days later at Guthega power station. Fuel cost will be worked out the day before departures.

 

Day 1: Round MT to Derschkos Hut 14km

Day 2: Derschkos Hut to Grey Mare Hut 10km

Day 3:Grey Mare Hut to Valentines Hut 7km. After setting up camp, we will explore the waterfall.

Day 4: Valentines Hut to Schlink Hilton and on to Whites River Hut 10km

Day 5: Whites River Hut to Guthega Power Station via Disappointment Spur hut 9 km

 

 Fuel cost:

We have 2 volunteer drivers from Cudgewa. They will pick us up in Corryong and drop us off at Round Mountain trail head. 5 days later they will pick us up at Guthega Power station.

Cudgewa to round mt via Corryong is 104 km return.

Cudgewa to Guthega Power Station via Corryong is 180 km return.

at the time of publishing this event the fuel cost is 50cents per km divided into the number of participants.

 

 Water is available from the creek on all stops, bring tablets or water filter.  

  

 

GRADE 4

Bushwalking experience recommended. Tracks may be long, rough and very steep. Directional signage may be limited.

  • Bedding

  • Keep clothing in a water tight bag - zip lock - dry bags etc..

  • Warm Gloves and Water Proof Over Glove plus a Benie or suitable walk hat.

  • Tooth Brush and paste
  • Any medication ( please inform leader if necessary Allergies etc)
  • Personal first aid 
  • Water to drink and prepare meal ( some locations and walks have water on site or en route )
  • Leader should inform the group re water supply
  • Tablets for water ( be safe rather than get a bug ) ( water purification tablets )
  • Toilet paper and trowl to dig appropiate hole.

  • Dehydrated food for weight considerations
  • 3 Meals , plus snacks.  per day.  
  • Stove (another item that can be shared) 
  • Plate and cuttlery 
  • Cup for warm drink  your choice
