Join Jan,  myself, Mick and Tony for a weekend in the Killawarra end of the Warby National Park near Wangarratta we will car camp Saturday night at the historic Forest campsite in the Killawarra area. We will meet on Saturday 28 September at 9am in Wangaratta.  This is the first time we have had a weekend jam packed full of a diverse range of activities. On Saturday morning at 9.30am Mick Webster will lead a navigation activity which will also include some geocaching. Mick has taken members on some great walks looking for geocaches so dont let this opportunity slip by.  We will then set up camp and have some lunch.  Jan and myself will be leading bike riding and walking activities in the afternoon. The rides will be suitable for mountain or hybrid bikes only with many great tracks to choose from. Saturday night Tony Marsh will be entertaining us as only he can with either a spotlight walk or a surprise activity (Hope he isnt singing!).

On Sunday we will do two short walks, the first of which will be Pangerang lookout walk. The second is  the Pine Valley walk - both are great walks and by September the wild flowers should be amazing. As the Warby Ranges are reknown for many species of wildflowers it is great time to visit.  If you dont wish to camp you can still join us on either day for the day walks, bike ride, navigation/ geocaching or Saturday night activities - plenty of options.  When booking in please indicate what activites you will be joining  us for, you can include this information in the message section of the joining process or ring Tracey - this will make it a bit easier on leaders to organise their activity.

About Killawarra Forest camp - YES there are toilets (toilet paper supplied too) and plenty of fire places, also a beautiful rotunda with tables and chairs. However it is a good idea to bring your own chair as they are limited and when you are sitting around a designated fire place and dont have a chair well you wont be sitting in comfort but rather on the hard ground. There is NO water available so you must bring enough water for two days (this does not mean bring rain with you lol).

Activities: cycling, day walks, geocaching & navigation, spotlight walk  and car camp
