An adventureous trip on the Parlour Ck is coming up  CANCELLED

Parlour Creek is a 13km anabranch stream off the Murray River between Albury and Howlong. The trip begins at the 12 Mile TSR just west of Albury. We paddle for 3-4 km then enter Parlour Creek and paddle for 13 km until it rejoins the Murray River at Memorial Park, Howlong.

Total paddle will be around `17km -  3 to 4 hours paddling, plus rest stops and car travel time. Allow around 7-8 hours for the event.

The trip is not for beginners due to it's duration and river hazards such as the numerous snags and willows and fast currents most likely to be experienced. Single canoes/kayaks/sit ons only will be allowed.

Canoe experience is mandatory. Inexperienced paddlers can gain experience beforehand by participating in this club's Thursday evening short canoe trips on the Murray River in Albury.

Canoe hire (single sit ons) will be available for hire for $40. Please advise if you want me to organise the hire.

If you prefer to bring your own (incl safety vest) then please advise. Cost will be $5 for transport.

Bring your own morning/afternoon snack and lunch; and plenty of water. Also bring hat, sun protection and appropriate boating footware. Bare feet or thongs are not considered appropriate.

Meet at Noreuil Park boatramp at 9.30am.

Any cancellations must be made no later than the day before as canoe hire needs to be managed.
