Come and try it! If you've been wanting to try canoeing but need some training and help in a still water environment , here is a great opportunity to give canoeing a try. This will be the first of a series of training sessions and costs are subsidised by a grant the club received in 2012. We meet at Cumberoona Wharf Albury at 5-30 to 5-45 pm and get transported to Mungabareena from where we will learn basic paddle strokes and safety training - transport , hire of canoes, paddles and personal flotation devices are supplied by Dave Breedon the Canoe Guy from Murray River Canoe Hire at a cost of $10 per person. The session will be over by 7pm after which we will return to Noreuil Park in Dave's van, have a catered for bbq with byo salads to share at a cost of $3 per person. Bookings needed to confirm food to be purchased for the bbq and for Dave to make the necessary transport and hire arrangements. Please check the club's Canoeing Policy to ensure compliance with our safety regulations. Use the Join link above to fill out a booking enquiry / seek further information after which Tony will contact you and confirm arrangements.
